young rajah by clive64
pencil drawing of a bengal tiger cub.drawn a few years ago now but still a very popular fine art card design
I love your work my 1st and greatest love will always be graphite
thanks very much john,i couldn't agree more.no matter whatever medium i'm working in nothing beats graphite
Great artwork talented work I wish i could shade like that
can you explain the technique for the background please?? btw, AMAZING gallery!!
hi chloe and thx very much for the compliment.the background is simply layered graphite, grades H thru to 2B built up by using a circular motion with the pencils
The cubs always look so innocent. It's when they get older they develop that kind of look that makes you think yeah, you're beautiful but stay the FUCK away from me! ^^
thankyou,if only they would stay the F*** away, then they might stand a chance
I can't believe I missed this wonderful drawing earlier, I'm so glad I saw it in a feature It's amazing, the cub looks so cute !
thankyou anne,he was a beautiful cat with a very endearing face that i was privileged to meet in the far east a few years ago
You actually met him, that's just wonderful Do you make your own photographs then, and draw them afterwards ?
hi anne,in the vast majority of cases i do indeed photograph my own references whether that be on location or in often at wildlife parks etc.i am very fortunate that i have a very good network of clients/associates within the wildlife care and conservation to whom i can turn when i need to get close to specific species.this very week i have been introduced to a wonderful skunk for instance that will shortly be immortalised in graphite
thankyou very much anne for choosing to feature young rajah
FREAKING AWESOME MAN!!!! XXXXXXXX
it's amazing, I love his shiny eyes
fantastic drawing, as usual
It looks very good
Like a photo!!
Oh what a look! Nice work!
This is unbeliable! I find that drawing animals, especially those with fur is the hardest thing to do, but you make it seem so easy, great job
another great one! I love how you do your backgrounds.
